KOA approached me to develop an end-of-summer camping campaign targeting two key demographics: families with children and roaming retirees. August and September are at the heart of the camping season, but reservations tend to slow as kids start returning to school. The challenge was to resonate with these audiences and encourage them to make the most of the remaining camping season.
I conceptualized a creative campaign titled "There's Still Time." The campaign centered around the idea of capturing perfect moments in slow motion as if time were standing still. The messaging aimed to convey that despite the end of summer approaching, there were still plenty of opportunities to create lasting memories.
KOA lacked a library of high-frame-rate video footage that captured these perfect moments. To overcome this, I utilized a creative approach by employing the parallax animation style on still photography in HTML5 animation. This technique created the illusion of slow-motion video, allowing us to showcase ideal camping moments in a captivating and immersive way.
The creative messaging seamlessly connected the "There's Still Time" concept with the idea of making the most of the remaining camping season.
